Requirements to Purchase Foundation Seed
All University of Nebraska germplasm requires a license agreement before purchasing seed. NUtech Ventures, the University’s nonprofit technology commercialization affiliate, protects and licenses the University’s intellectual property, including crop varieties developed by UNL breeding programs.

Foundation Seed Price List
Note: All wheat varieties require a license agreement with NUtech Ventures or membership with NU Horizon Genetics before purchasing foundation seed from Husker Genetics.
- Foundation Seed is not pre-treated but can be requested with treatment for an additional fee.
- Prices are for bagged seed f.o.b. at the Husker Genetics Plant located at the Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education Center near Mead, Nebraska. 📍
- Delivery to customer addresses is available for an additional freight charge.

HG notifies customers each year around the first week of July with a Foundation Seed Order Form, for pickup or delivery around mid-September.
- Early Order Discount: Receive $5.00/unit off when orders are placed one year in advance.
