Amy Hilske (Ad-hoc member) - UNL Greenhouse Director
Amy is responsible for the operation of all greenhouse and growth chamber facilities across City, East & Nebraska Innovation Campuses in coordination with the UNL Faculty Greenhouse Committee. Amy had served as the Beadle Greenhouse Manager at UNL for 9 years. Amy has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in Horticulture, and a Master’s degree in Horticulture from UNL. Amy has worked in greenhouse environments since 1994, has participated in Undergraduate and Graduate instruction, and co-owns a winery in Ashland. Amy enjoys gardening, wine, and cooking.
Donn has been the Greenhouse Manager and the Computer Support Person for the Plant Pathology Department at UNL for 31 years. Donn has a Bachelor’s of Science and a Master’s degree in Horticulture from Kansas State University. Donn’s hobbies are plant breeding and computer building.
Ruth has been the Greenhouse Manager for the Department of Agronomy & Horticulture for 20 years. Ruth has a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture from UNL. Her role has evolved over the years including assuming the responsibilities for the Horticulture and Teaching Greenhouses and garden areas when the departments united. Ruth enjoys spending time with her husband, their Beagles, backyard wildlife and gardening.
